Here are some opportunities you may be interested in.
The NCSC is delighted to be bringing CYBERUK 2019 to Glasgow, a thriving digital hub and one of the UK’s first 5G cities. The NCSC will present a programme of compelling, interactive and inspiring sessions from Scotland’s largest exhibition venue, the Scottish Event Campus.
Held over two days, CYBERUK 2019 will be attended by more than 2,000 delegates, integrating senior cyber security leaders with professionals, strengthening the cyber security community. As the authoritative event for the UK’s cyber security community, CYBERUK 2019 will offer delegates the opportunity to learn about the Government’s plans for making the UK more cyber resilient and for the whole cyber security community to meet, discuss business needs, review the changing threat landscape and clarify their responsibilities. The event will feature world-class speakers, and content with plenty of opportunities for interaction and networking between the public and private sectors.
How to register:
Please visit www.ncsc.gov.uk/cyberuk for more information and to register to attend CYBERUK 2019. We expect delegate places to fill up fast, so to avoid disappointment please register for a place as soon as possible.
Please note: all registrations are subject to approval by the NCSC.
Note from UKCSF – there has been an SME rate on previous years which was about 50% the usual rate but it was not advertised and companies were only told about it when they asked – so it is worth asking! The cost of an exhibition stand only includes entry for 1 person and they cannot attend the talks – you have to pay an additional £300 if that person wants to attend the talks. However, last year, the talks were all broadcast in the exhibition hall so you may not need to pay to attend.

Digital Access Programme Workshops: Nigeria, Indonesia, Kenya
The Foreign Office’s Digital Access Programme team are looking at supporting UK cyber security exports to five countries in the medium term: South Africa, Brazil, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Kenya. This process began with a market scoping report for each country, and they are now in the process of running workshops, hosted by techUK, to further develop the strategy for each market.
Some of you may have been involved in the South Africa and Brazil workshops in past months. The schedule for the Nigeria, Indonesia, and Kenya workshops is below. The workshops generally involve a briefing from UK Government leads in Post, followed by an industry and government discussion of opportunities, challenges, and what government can do to help in each market. Industry’s input is vital here, to ensure that the support government develops is directed at fixing the problems companies actually encounter when trying to do cyber security business in country.
