Cyber Wales have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with B-Hive on the 27th February 2018. B-Hive is a European collaborative innovation fintech platform that brings together major banks, insurers and market infrastructure players. Together, we work on common innovation challenges and build bridges to the start-up and scale-up community. We aim to put Brussels on the map as the smart gateway to Europe and leverage on the opportunities offered by the digital transformation for the financial services industry. We trace our history back to 1865, when the School of Art first opened in the Old Free Library in Cardiff.  Since we developed into a university, we have remained rooted in Wales while providing practice-focused and professionally oriented education to students from around the globe. Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd (CCDG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Welsh Government which was formed on 1 April 2013. National Virtual Incubator (NVI) Wales - At Cisco we are creating a ground-breaking digital platform, opening up new opportunities to help you explore and expand your ideas. Since its launch in 2011, the British Innovation Gateway (BIG) has introduced a variety of national initiatives to support entrepreneurs and technology start-ups and encourage wider collaboration between them. As a critical component to BIG, the National Virtual Incubator (NVI) is a pioneering new network supported by the UK government. Tarian ROCU - Tarian is the name for the Southern Wales Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) and was launched 2003 in response to the increased threat of Class A drugs in communities. During 2003 operation Tarian created a Regional Task Force (RTF) and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU), both becoming fully operational in January 2004. The unit was further enhanced by the co-location of the Regional Asset Recovery Team (RART) in March 2004 and a new Regional Protected Persons Unit began operations in January 2013. The Regional Cyber Crime Unit (RCCU) was added to the Tarian family early 2014. The RCCU tackles those responsible for the most serious incidents of: Computer intrusion; Distribution of malicious code; Denial of service attack. The Unit, working closely with the National Cyber Crime Unit (NCCU), provides a national investigative response to the most serious incidents of cyber-crime. The Unit are also working collaboratively with Welsh Government with the aim of developing a ‘secure digital nation’. Current information available suggests that 80% of Cyber crime is preventable and it is our intention through partnership engagement and education to develop Wales as a safe place to live, visit and do business.

TechHub Wales - creates spaces around the world for tech entrepreneurs to meet, work, learn and collaborate, and runs a load of great events, advice sessions and more. We provide physical and virtual spaces that enable technology startups to work smarter, develop faster and increase their chance of success. How? Through our one-vision global community. Every TechHub Member is working on a tech product. Entrepreneurs and their teams drop in or set up shop, advice flows freely (so does beer and pizza), angels appear, relationships blossom, and the likes of Jimmy Wales or Eric Ries may even pop in for a chat. The aim of TechLink is to help more in the UK technology sector to learn what is on offer in and from Estonia, to the benefit of the technology sector and wider economies in both countries. Using the knowledge of its team and partners, it has been set up to: Link together specific people, teams and projects in the two countries on specific technology issues; showcase early stage R&D projects and explore the opportunities for collaboration and continued funding, to the benefit of both Estonian technology developers and UK investors; and use its user-friendly web presence to share information on activity in key sectors. WJEC - formally the Welsh Joint Education Committee, is a consortium of 22 local education authorities in Wales providing qualifications and support for teachers and students. Our aim is to bring out the best in students and teachers by providing distinguished examinations and assessment which are highly valued by both employers and universities.
