As you may be aware, the Foreign Office’s Digital Access Programme team are looking at supporting UK cyber security exports to five countries in the medium term: South Africa, Brazil, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Kenya. This process began with a market scoping report for each country, and they are now in the process of running workshops, hosted by techUK, to further develop the strategy for each market.
Some of you may have been involved in the South Africa and Brazil workshops in past months. The schedule for the Nigeria, Indonesia, and Kenya workshops is below. The workshops generally involve a briefing from UK Government leads in Post, followed by an industry and government discussion of opportunities, challenges, and what government can do to help in each market. Industry’s input is vital here, to ensure that the support government develops is directed at fixing the problems companies actually encounter when trying to do cyber security business in country.
