In partnership with Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) at Swansea University Welsh Government are planning a mission to the C&ESAR Conference (Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security) & Cyber Valley programme during European Cyber Week, the 19-22 November 2018. https://www.european-cyber-week.eu/.
An event we (Welsh Government) promised to support as part of the MoU we have in place with Région Bretagne / Regional Council of Brittany.
We propose to take an exhibition stand at the event for the Welsh SMEs to call home (similar to InfoSec) and we’ll be booking a room at the conference venue to host a series of B2B meetings for the Welsh delegation to meet with French companies. EEN are in contact with their colleagues in France to help identify the French companies for our Welsh companies to meet.
We’ll produce a printed brochure with company profiles – similar to the brochure we prepared for the Brussels mission earlier this year and EEN have website tool for the French and the Welsh companies to upload their profiles, match make and book B2B sessions.
Following the B2B meetings we propose to host a reception in the meeting room and invite Région Bretagne / Regional Council of Brittany representatives etc.
Welsh Government will start ‘recruiting’ the SMEs and University Expertise from 1st October via the usual Expression of Interest (EOI) process – we’re hoping to attract 10 or 12. If you can push the message out to the Clusters that would be great.
The cost of the above will be covered but the companies will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs but they maybe eligible for Welsh Government SCoRE Cymru funding towards their costs. There are daily flights to Renne from Heathrow (approx. £200 return) and hotels are in the region of £125 per night.
