If you are interested in exporting to the USA and think that your cyber security offer could be applied to the space industry please contact The Gallifrey Group.
The Gallifrey Group is a group of UK Prime contractors and SMEs who are seeking export opportunities in the Space sector. They were brought together by the Defence and Security Organisation (DSO) in the Department of International Trade (DIT), to offer tailored opportunities in the Defence Space sector in the USA.
An industry consultant has recently taken over the management of the group, to ensure that the prospects of all companies within the group are catered for, as DSO can only provide guidance to doing business in the US, not make commercial decisions on behalf of industry.
The Gallifrey Group want to promote themselves as a one-stop-shop for all serious Space prospects to the USA. They are currently in discussion with Academia to progress their prospects up the Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) in order to provide more developed, cutting-edge technology, to tackle the various challenges in the Space sector,
satellite technology or the prospect of future manned missions to the Moon and beyond. The University of Exeter was the first university to formally sign-up to the Gallifrey Group. They are already involved in the UK Space offer, via a proposed Space Port based in the South West, and look forward to creating student programmes, research and technology partnerships with the Gallifrey Group, including think tank sessions and hands-on engineering tasks.
The Gallifrey Group formally launched to journalists at the Farnborough International Air Show on the morning of 16th July, where they announced their immediate strategy and expressed the seriousness of the British Space offer.
